Night Fishing at Booker T

On February 28, 2019 we will have night fishing here at Booker T. Washington State Park. We will start at 5:30pm down at the fishing pier and end at 12:30am. Pre-registration is required due the park closing at sunset and ONLY those registered for night fishing may enter. We look forward to seeing you at our event. Weed Wrangle 2019

Tennessee State Parks and Natural Areas will once again partner with The Garden Club of Nashville and Invasive Plant Control, Inc (IPC) to participate in Weed Wrangle® 2019. Weed Wrangle® is a now a nationwide event dedicated to eradicating Tennessee of non-native plant species through public education and volunteer plant removal. On Saturday, March 2, 2019, volunteers from across the nation will be helping to remove invasive plants in public spaces. Please join Rangers at Booker T. Washington State Park as we participate in Weed Wrangle. We will be removing invasive plants at the park. We could use your help. Please bring water and a snack. Also, dress in weather appropriate clothing. we will meet at the park office at 10am on 3/2/19.

Join Ranger Jordan for a walk through the park to see and hear what birds are active in the morning. Binoculars and field guides will be provided if needed for participants. This event requires pre-registration, NO walk-ups will be accepted. Wear shoes and weather appropriate clothing. Meet at the pool parking lot.
